The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the ICC Men’s ODI Team of the Year 2022 on Tuesday, January 24. They impressed fans with their batting, bowling, and all-round performances in 2022 in the 50-over format. Middle-order batsman Sheas Iyer and fast bowler Mohammad Siraj are the only Indians included in this list.
The ICC Men’s Team of the Year in ODIs includes two each from India, Australia, New Zealand, and the West Indies, as well as one each from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Zimbabwe. Babar Azam, Pakistan’s all-format captain, who won three series out of three last year, has been named the captain of the team. Pakistan have been unbeaten in the ODI format, losing just one match against Australia out of nine matches.
