Indian Cricket Team’s dashing all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is all set to play a Ranji Trophy match. Ravindra Jadeja is going to lead the Saurashtra side against Tamil Nadu on 24th January (Tuesday) as the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara & Jaydev Unadkat have been rested for the fixture.
Ravindra Jadeja is included against Australia Tests but is subject to fitness. The all-rounder has been out of the Indian side since September 2022. In his absence, Axar Patel has been quite terrific with both bat & ball and has played invaluable knocks for the team.

Ravindra Jadeja was having an interaction with reporters and was asked to be back on the field. “I am feeling good to be back on the field. Very excited. Hopefully it will come good as a team and as an individual also. See, my first priority is to get on the field and be fit… 100 percent fit. Once I am 100 percent fit, I will work more on my skills, whether it is batting or bowling. Now, my first priority is fitness.” said Ravindra Jadeja.

“I was at the NCA for 20 days. I was doing batting and bowling. Match scenario is different. I wanted one game before the Australia series, that’s why I am here. Nobody wants to get injured at your peak time. [But] It is part of the game. You have to keep that in mind and be prepared for it. There is no guarantee that one won’t get injured in cricket.” he added.
The Australian Cricket Team hasn’t won Test Series in India since 2004. The Aussies in the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) are looking quite unstoppable as they have got a lot of match winners present in the time and it won’t be wrong to say that they are no longer dependent on Smith & Warner.
The Men in Blue would be hoping that Ravindra Jadeja is back to his best as he is someone who can bowl long spells and if the situation demands, he can also bat in the middle order. It would be interesting to see whether Jadeja straightaway comes back into the team as it would be harsh on the likes of Kuldeep & Axar.
